Previously, until around OOTP14 or so, you could view the talent level of your prospective coaches.ДЇor some reason they turned that off, and ever since then you can only view a coaches reputation without turning on commissioner mode. I don't know why you'd want to or need to go through Commissioner mode for that, but you can play your game your way. There are detailed filters to search for coach talent, since the coaching AI is important for running your team. Often enough, talented players become coaches if you sim long enough. They aren't as irrational before, and they don't seem to be suffering from death waves or owner serial killers like in previous OOTPBs. Owner personalities have been tweaked somewhat. Or just sim a few seasons without doing anything until you get called up, it works either way. You'll still build your managerial rep and then you'll get job offers from MLB. If you really have to start at the bottom, play in an independant league like Mexico, Cuba, or hey here's a thought, Taiwan, where there are few teams and so not many trades. How would you ever find a MLB minor team that doesn't have its roster shifted every few days? That's the whole idea of minors baseball.

Personality tweaks to players and owners? I don't want something as extreme as FM, but I'd like a bit more of the sense that I'm managing people vs. How about minor league management? I'd like to start at the bottom, but I don't want to constantly lose and regain half my roster in the course of a week like in previous versions. I don't care about real Taiwanese rosters or color barrier tweaks or different skins and other such tiny bullet points.ДЄre the coaches fleshed out yet? That is, if I want to hire a batting or pitching coach and need to know if they're good or not, will I still have to go through that process of turning on the commissioner mode and going through the potential hires one by one?
